Thoughts/Notes:
Unfortunately I had work the day after the read-a-thon, so I had to get some sleep... and I managed to get 11 hours of sleep. So that took out a chunk of my time.

I had been hoping to finish off A Game of Thrones, but only managed to get myself just past halfway through it. A bit disappointing, but I'm not all that surprised as the book is massive.

Next Read-a-thon, I will be a lot more prepared :)

End of Event Meme:

1. Which hour was most daunting for you?
The first hour.

2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
Not from my list of books, or rather my only book, I'm afraid.

Nope, all those involved with the organisation of this event did a magnificent job!

The cheerleaders were very encouraging on Twitter

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

7. Which book did you enjoy most?
I suppose A Game of Thrones.

8. Which did you enjoy least?
Again, A Game of Thrones, since that is the one and only book I read a part of.

9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year's Cheerleaders?
n/a

10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?
I will definitely be participating again. Next time, I hope to

Read-a-thon Update: 8:00pm - 11:00pm

April 21, 2012

Hour: 14

Currently Reading: A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

Thoughts on current book: I'm getting fidgety so I am finding it difficult to really get engrossed in the book. It's not that I don't find it interesting, I have just been at this for a while and this book is huge. I have actually spent some time browsing the internet, having a look at photos from the TV series... Procrastination YAY!

Thoughts/Notes:
It is getting late, and since I am working tomorrow, I need to actually get some rest. So I am going to call it a night soon. I will read for a little while longer, then again in the morning after another hour or so of reading. I will be hopping around some of the other participants blogs as well, more so after my read-a-thon has come to an end. Although I started early, I will still be providing support and joining in as much as I can during the remaining hours of the read-a-thon.

Still slow going. I am getting into a rhythm now, ignoring these distractions. I suppose it's safe to say that I find it easier to read in longer sitting from afternoon to nighttime.

Read-a-thon Update: 10am - 2:30pm

Hour: 5

Currently Reading: A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin; from page 190

Thoughts on current book: I am loving it so far! I have always been a fan of stories in settings with kingdoms, knights, battles and treachery. The story can be quite heartbreaking at times and I am very curious to see how things pan out.

- not too many people have begun the Read-a-thon as of yet.

Thoughts/Notes:
I know I get easily distracted, but my gosh, I never thought it was this bad. The font in this book is quite small, yes, but I was hoping I would have gotten through more pages than this by now. I can't help checking twitter and various games on my phone every so often... Contemplating turning my phone off.
